Here are answers to the questions clients ask most. Don’t see yours? Call or text (702) 900-5403.
Do you offer same-day notary appointments in Las Vegas?
Yes. Same-day mobile, in-person and remote online notary appointments are often available across Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin and Clark County. Call or text (702) 900-5403 to check availability.
What ID do I need to get a document notarized?
Each signer needs a current, government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, state ID card, passport or military ID. If you don’t have acceptable ID, call ahead and we’ll talk through your options. See our What to Bring page for the full checklist.
Should I sign my document before the appointment?
No. Please wait to sign until you are in front of the notary. For remote online notarizations, every signature must be applied live during the recorded session, even for acknowledgments.
How much does a notary cost in Nevada?
Nevada sets maximum notary fees in NRS 240.100. For example, an acknowledgment is $15 for the first signature of each signer and a jurat is $15 per signature. Mobile and remote sessions may include a travel or technology fee, quoted before your appointment. See our Pricing page.
What is remote online notarization (RON)?
RON lets you sign and notarize documents over a secure, recorded audio-video session from your computer, without meeting in person. Learn more on our Remote Online Notary page.
Can a notary give legal advice?
No. A notary verifies identity and witnesses signatures but cannot give legal advice or tell you which document you need. As a Nevada Certified Document Preparer, I can prepare documents at your direction but cannot provide legal advice or representation.
What is the difference between a document preparer and an attorney?
A Nevada Certified Document Preparer is registered with the Nevada Secretary of State to prepare legal documents at a client’s direction for a fee. An attorney can give legal advice and represent you in court. A document preparer cannot.
Do you travel to hospitals and nursing homes?
Yes. I provide hospital, nursing home and hospice notary services. The signer must be alert, able to communicate and willing to sign, and must have acceptable ID.
Can you notarize a document in a foreign language?
A notary can often notarize a signature on a foreign-language document as long as the notarial certificate is in English and the notary can communicate directly with the signer. Call ahead with details.
What areas do you serve?
In person, anywhere in Clark County, including Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, Spring Valley, Enterprise, North Las Vegas and Boulder City. Remote online notarization is available to signers nationwide.
