When a loved one is in the hospital, a nursing home, assisted living or hospice, getting documents notarized shouldn’t add stress. Yuri Notary comes to the bedside across Las Vegas, Henderson and Clark County, often the same day.
Documents Commonly Notarized at Care Facilities
- Durable and financial powers of attorney

Need the documents prepared, too? As a Nevada Certified Document Preparer, I can prepare powers of attorney and estate planning documents at your direction.
Requirements for a Bedside Signing
- The signer must be alert and aware. They must understand what they are signing and be able to communicate with the notary directly.
- The signer must sign willingly. A notary cannot notarize for someone who appears pressured or confused.
- Acceptable ID. The signer needs current, government-issued photo ID. Hospital wristbands are not ID. If the signer’s ID is unavailable or expired, call before booking to discuss options.
- The signer must be able to sign or make a mark. Let us know in advance if the signer has limited ability to sign.
- Check facility rules. Some facilities require visitor check-in or have visiting hours. Facility staff often cannot serve as witnesses, so plan for any witnesses your document requires.
Tips for Families
Call ahead to confirm the signer is having a good day and isn’t heavily medicated at the appointment time. Have the complete, unsigned document ready. Review our what to bring checklist.
